This is a classic motel right next to the Wall drug complex-downtown. Great location with clean, efficient rooms. Vintage yes..but with all you need for a comfortable stay. The gentleman who runs the place is gracious, kind and genuinely wanting you to have a good stay! Also it’s a great value! Two thumbs up!

Very clean and John the owner greeted me in parking saw I was towing a trailer. He help me park! Very nice gentleman. This hotel is right next to everything Wall Drug has to offer. Highly recommend, I was there last night of Sturgis 85th rally. I didn't have a reservation. At the time every hotel was $175 and above, John charged $113.15 taxs included.
Convenient location to explore the Badlands. We were able to book a room last minute, the owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean!
I’d give so many more stars if I could - DeAnna deserves at least 5 on her own! :) We absolutely loved our stay at Sunshine Inn! The rooms are very clean and the location is amazing - walking distance to everything (including Wall Drug)! There aren’t microwaves or refrigerators in the room, but you can keep food in the office fridge and use the microwave there, which was perfect for us. We were in Wall to see Badlands - the town is perfectly positioned for that trip. An easy 30m to the main entrance and the popular Notch trail, but you can also get to an entrance directly south of Wall that is much closer and has some beautiful overlooks. Sunshine Inn doesn’t have online booking, but don’t let that scare you - this place is worth the phone call!
I recently moved cross country, and made a pit stop in Wall Drug. We were struggling to find a hotel that accepted cats (and didn’t charge an exorbitant price for them). My husband popped in to ask what their pet policy was, and was welcomed by the most helpful and friendly manager. She welcomed us, and our cats, with open arms; and we had the key to a room in mere minutes. The rooms are simple and quiet, and the location is perfect. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for the hospitality!!
We have been coming here literally for 40 years. John the owner is one of kindest, friendliest, helpful hotel owners I have ever met. We would never stay anywhere else. Very clean Room. Great Rates. Great location! We traveled with 20 family members and had 7 rooms! We all just love it here!
In the category of a one star hotel the Sunshine Inn gets a firm 5 star Google rating. It's as simple and basic as they come and I've never felt more at home. Clean, comfy bed, great shower, convenient location, and super kind and friendly hosts. A little slice of heaven in what can be a tourist hell area. Thanks so much!
Very clean and homey. Walls are a little thin but that’s acceptable for the price. Also really close to Wall Drug Store and the Salty Steer (both are amazing.) Not too bad amenities as well.
Owner was super nice/friendly. Room was a bit small, nothing to complain about though. Bed was comfy, and the room was clean. Right there in walking distance to walldrug. I’d stay again!
